After the assessment, the RN will prepare the IV line and the solution. The line will be inserted into a vein, usually in the arm, secure it in place and start the infusion. The vitamin solution will be prepared by infusing each vitamin previously discussed into the bag of lactated ringers or normal saline.

Once the IV line and the solution are ready, the RN will start the infusion. The solution will flow into your bloodstream through the IV line. The duration of the infusion can vary depending on the amount of solution to be administered, but typically lasts from 30 minutes to an hour.

During the infusion, the RN will monitor your vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate, and oxygen levels. They will also observe you for any potential side effects or adverse reactions.

After the infusion, the RN will remove the IV line and ensure that you are stable. They may also provide you with post-infusion instructions, such as recommendations for hydration and supplements to add.
